Aerosol sunscreens don’t only compress dangerous, flammable ingredients (ex. nitrogen or propane) that can be detrimental to inhale, but they are also just as harmful to the environment they are used in. By design default, aerosol cans cover large portions of a given surface. Unfortunately, when used, especially outside, the chance of spreading these ingredients is simply inevitable.
By utilizing non-aerosol or BOV (BAG ON VALVE TECHNOLOGY), ingredients are no longer compressed with toxic chemicals and packing methods. Instead, the product is now safely filled inside a flexible FDA-approved bag that is then attached to the Actuator (button at top of can). When pressed, the product comes out in mist form, all from natural pressure, making the product purer and the packaging cleaner.
